Advancement Coordinator

St John Paul II High School, Loveland, CO
Reports To: Advancement Director
Position Type: Full-Time

Position Summary

St John Paul II High School, a Catholic classical high school committed to academic excellence and the formation of young men and women in truth, goodness, and beauty, seeks a highly organized, personable, and mission-driven Advancement Coordinator. This position assists the Advancement Director through day-to-day operations while building relationships with other prospective parishes and schools.

The ideal candidate is driven, organized, relational, and capable of managing multiple tasks simultaneously. This individual will play an important role in facilitating donor relations and offering administrative support to the Advancement Director.

Essential Responsibilities

1. Donor Management and Fundraising

  • Track donations and update contact information ○ Handle gift processing by generating tax receipts and ensuring timely acknowledgement letters
  • Research potential donors and/or sponsors to foster growth

2. Event Coordination

  • Help execute fundraising galas and other fundraising events
  • Ensure donors are properly recognized ○ Coordinate and work with volunteers to plan school community events that support the school’s mission

3. Administrative Support

  • Coordinate communication between the President and Advancement Director when it comes to foundation and family support
  • Create and organize statistical reports for board meetings
  • Supports President with advancement-related initiatives

4. Communication

  • Manage monthly e-newsletter development and distribution to keep donors and supporters engaged with the school
  • Oversee the marketing plan for events, appeals, and campaigns across digital platforms such as the website, email, and social media
  • Help develop marketing and promotional materials, including video/photo content to showcase the school's impact

5. Strategic Planning

  • Play a key role in strategic planning sessions, bringing fresh ideas to improve donor engagement and support the High School mission
  • Collaborate with the President and Advancement Director to implement the annual development plan

6. Grant Writing

  • Assist with the annual grant writing process, 5-7 grants per year
  • Coordinate to align on the vision for the grants, maintain communication with the foundations, and provide grant updates and reports on how funds were used

Physical Requirements

1. Work is performed while standing, sitting, or walking

Qualifications

1. Bachelor's Degree

2. Practice of the Catholic faith in compliance with the teachings of Scripture, the Magisterium, and the Catechism of the Catholic Church

3. Willingness to sign an Oath of Fidelity to the teachings of the Catholic Church

4. Preferred: Experience in a school setting

Compensation

$40-50K (Commensurate with qualifications and experience)

Benefits: Full-time staff are eligible for comprehensive medical benefits paid at 100% by the school

Instructional Coach (Classical Education)

Position Summary

St John Paul II High School, a Catholic classical high school committed to academic excellence and the formation of young men and women in truth, goodness, and beauty, seeks an experienced and mission-aligned Part-Time Instructional Coach to support faculty growth in classical teaching practices and Socratic instruction. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of classical education, demonstrate excellence in coaching adult learners, and have a proven ability to help teachers strengthen student engagement, discussion, and learning outcomes.

Responsibilities

Instructional Coaching

  • Observe classroom instruction and provide timely, constructive, and actionable feedback that supports both academic excellence and the mission of Catholic classical education.
  • Encourage instruction that integrates faith and reason and helps students engage deeply with the Catholic intellectual tradition.
  • Partner with teachers to identify strengths, growth opportunities, and instructional goals.
  • Support faculty in planning and implementing effective classical instructional practices.
  • Help teachers develop and refine Socratic seminars, guided discussions, and other dialogical teaching methods.
  • Tailor coaching approaches to the individual needs, experience levels, and teaching styles of faculty members.
  • Serve as a resource for lesson planning and design, assessment practices, and classroom culture.

Modeling and Mentoring

  • Demonstrate and model effective classroom instruction when appropriate.
  • Share best practices in classical pedagogy, discussion leadership, questioning techniques, and student engagement.
  • Mentor new and developing teachers as they grow in confidence and effectiveness.

Professional Development

  • Promote instructional practices that foster the formation of the whole person—mind, body, and soul.
  • Design and facilitate occasional workshops and professional learning sessions for faculty.
  • Introduce high-impact instructional practices that align with the mission of classical education.
  • Support ongoing faculty development initiatives and instructional goals.

Collaborative Leadership

  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement, professional growth, and collegial support.
  • Collaborate with school leadership to identify instructional priorities and professional development needs.
  • Help maintain consistency and excellence in the implementation of the school's classical educational vision.

Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree preferred.
  • Significant experience teaching in a classical school or a comparable classical education setting.
  • Demonstrated expertise in classical pedagogy and Socratic instruction.
  • Experience coaching, mentoring, or leading professional development for educators.
  • Strong understanding of high-impact instructional practices and adult learning principles.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and facilitation skills.

Preferred

  • Experience in Catholic classical education.
  • Familiarity with the Catholic intellectual tradition and liberal arts curriculum.
  • Experience supporting secondary-level teachers.
  • Advanced training in instructional coaching, teacher development, or educational leadership.

Compensation

Compensation is commensurate with experience and qualifications. Flexible scheduling is available based on school needs and candidate availability.
