Spiritual Formation at St. John Paul II High School
The second pillar of JPIIHS is our dedication to spiritual formation.
We understand that we cannot make people into saints—that is a choice that remains between the created and their Creator. But we can, throughout four years of active, intentional discipleship, help students to be able to recognize Christ. Whether it’s in the Truth that they pursue, in the opportunities to serve and live the life of the Beatitudes, or if it’s in the way that they encounter their teachers and their peers, we create opportunities for students to engage meaningfully in the Christian tradition and to be able to form a strong interior life.

The great and final question that each of us must face is whether or not we will recognize Christ when we meet Him.
And it’s our daily prayer that the students might hear when they do, ‘Well done my faithful servant.’ We encourage this life of faith by the way that we engage daily with the sacraments, the way that we educate our students in the classroom, and the way that we pray for the students or speak with them in the hallways might be means to model a life of virtue and encourage a life of joyful Catholicism.
