About Chesterton Academy of St. John Paul II
Founded in 2020, Chesterton Academy of St. John Paul II is the only Catholic high school serving the Northern Colorado area. While independent, it is approved and assisted by the Archdiocese of Denver and is part of the Chesterton Schools Network. It will first be located at Our Lady of the Valley Catholic Church in Windsor Colorado. A subsequent permanent location will be established as soon as practicable. St. John Paul II High School is an authentically Catholic, classical high school whose mission is to form children into saints and scholars. Our rigorous, integrated high-school curriculum is centered on the Incarnation of Jesus Christ and develops complete thinkers who learn to draw on faith and reason for the purpose of building a culture of life.
The mission of St. John Paul II High School is to act as an extension of the Church by helping families lead their children towards a personal relationship with Jesus Christ through integrated intellectual and spiritual formation in the context of a classical education so that they might choose to become Saints.
We will undergo this work through rigorous academic pursuits, frequent participation in the sacraments – especially the sacrifice of the Mass – and the development of virtue.
