St. John Paul II High School Appoints President Tim Gallic to Lead Major School Expansion
Windsor, CO – 08/20/24 – Following a resounding success in their first phase capital campaign, raising nearly $24M ($15M more than projected) and closing on 44+ acres of land in Johnstown, Colorado; St. John Paul II High School has now hired a President to drive the second phase capital campaign and advance this premier Catholic educational institution in Northern Colorado. The second phase of the campaign will raise an additional $32 million to build the beautiful campus that the community so strongly desires for their students and has envisioned for the past 50 years. The President will also accelerate student enrollment and implement a strategic business approach to ensure long-term sustainability of the school. Simultaneously, the Board is committed to continue the high-quality academic and Catholic formation programs that the school has developed over the past four years.
In May, following extensive consultations with the Archdiocese of Denver, key donors, and other community members, the Board of Trustees initiated the search for a President. After a thorough search process, the Board is thrilled to announce the appointment of Mr. Tim Gallic as the new President of St. John Paul II High School. Mr. Gallic, a seasoned and growth-focused professional with over 30 years of experience in educational leadership, including nine years in the Archdiocese of Denver, will officially assume his new role in early September.
In a statement, Mr. Gallic said:
“To be asked to run St. John Paul II High School and to return to Colorado after so many years away fills me with joy and excitement. We desperately need to promote the gospel by helping young men and women become the best versions of themselves, to be saints, and St. John Paul II High School is leading the way. I have spent a lifetime finding how to bring my students the best in education, and I feel the Lord has been preparing me for this task so that with many others' help we can bring witness to the truth spoken by St. Irenaeus, 'The Glory of God is a human fully alive in Christ Jesus.'"

His leadership style is marked by a deep joy in Catholic education and a dedication to fostering a nurturing and challenging learning environment. Among his many accomplishments, Mr. Gallic has successfully increased enrollment at multiple institutions, enhanced financial stability through long-range planning, and significantly improved student retention rates. His visionary leadership has also been instrumental in fostering a vibrant Catholic culture and developing strong relationships with alumni and donors. In his most recent role as President of Powers Catholic High School in Flint, Michigan, Mr. Gallic oversaw all aspects of the school’s operations, ensuring balanced budgets and successfully increasing endowments. Under his leadership, giving increased by an impressive 500%, and the school experienced its first enrollment growth in a decade.
In a statement, Chairman of the Board Deacon Rob Lanciotti said:
"We are confident that Mr. Gallic’s expertise in educational leadership, his commitment to our Catholic values, and his passion for fostering a nurturing and challenging environment will be a tremendous asset to St. John Paul II High School. We look forward to the positive impact he will have on our community as we continue to strive for excellence in all areas of education."
The St. John Paul II High School community is excited to welcome Mr. Gallic and is optimistic about the future of the school under his leadership. Mr. Gallic will work closely with Headmaster Mr. Blaise Hockel to achieve the school’s shared goals.
In a statement, Headmaster Blaise Hockel said:
“While we’ve been very proud of the work that’s gone into the raising of the institution thus far, I am keenly excited about welcoming Mr. Gallic to join us so that we can further extend the scope of the project with expertise and collaborative efforts to ensure the highest quality education for our Catholic community in northern Colorado.”
