Summer Reading Recommendations
For those of you looking for something to do over the summer (and over quarantine), we have compiled a list of texts at the recommendation of our staff and some affiliates. These texts vary from the Great Books to simply good texts remembering the spirit of Chesterton who had said that he had read a number of great books, but that he wished he had read more good ones. For those of you who embark on the challenge, enjoy your reading!
What is Classical Education?
So what, then, is classical education? Classical education is a chronologically synchronous education which, following the trivium, aims to develop the student in their ability to be a critical thinker such that they can enter into their cultural heritage, and thereby better understand their own lineage.
John Paul the Great: A Papal Patron
For five days in August of 1993, Colorado was aflame with the love of the Church. His Holiness, Pope John Paul II came to World Youth Day in Denver, and its impact has resonated upon the state and her denizens for decades after—many of us who live in Colorado (especially those lucky enough to have attended the event) were drawn irrevocably closer to the heart of Christ at witnessing the momentous occasion.
