JPIIHS October 2020 Newsletter

Student Life and Learning

In the last month our students have grown immensely in their thought and their habits. Pouring over Plato and hammering out Homer have kept them busy as they ask questions over telos and join the Greeks in their search for meaning. Concurrently, our students have been mapping the stars and learning the patterns of thought and reality in their geometry class.

In regards to their personal enrichment, students have been working through the acquisition of form in both music and art as they begin to grasp range and depth in two very different disciplines. But, perhaps the most exciting event of this month, was that we were joined by Mr. Joseph Adlhoch for an astronomy night! We observed a waxing gibbous, Saturn and her rings, and Jupiter (whose moons were perfectly aligned on the night we observed them!). Thank you, Mr. Adlhoch

October Events!

Sadly, we have to post-pone our October 2nd family event, but we’re still intending on holding an informational “Come and See” event on October 9th for our extended community members. Visit the Events page of our website to learn more and the RSVP! Otherwise, keep your eyes peeled for updates!

School Logo!

We’d like to make a huge shout out to the JPII Project and one of our parents, Mr. Eric Ulibarri, for our new logos! The JPII Project has gifted us the rights to a few particularly stunning photos that they took in Krakow, and those photos led to the inspiration of our logo that Mr. Ulibarri designed with his incredible talent. We thank them both with our deep gratitude. If you’d like to check out more of the JPII Project and their mission, you can visit their website at: jp2project.org!

And pray for our students as they move through their 7th week of school! Almost through the first quarter, they’re gearing up for midterms!
